Spesso nei testi tecnici usano harness al posto di "wiring harness" che è appunto il cablaggio.
Io tradurrei entrambi come "cablaggio", non armatura.

Explanation:
in eurodicautom è tradotto anche con imbrigliatura, potrebbe darsi che in entrambi i casi indichi il gruppo di cavi che collegamo varie parti del motore (quindi nel secondo casi potrebbe essere cavi dell'interruttore/commutatore)
