Ciao Mands, la nota che hai aggiunto cambia un po\' il senso della frase rispetto a quella che era la domanda - se parli di un tessuto, to shine through significa essere trasparente; se parli della stampa applicata ad un tessuto, significa che non traspare, o che non è visibile sul rovescio. I due concetti si identificano nel senso che se il tessuto non è trasparente la stampa non è visibile sul rovescio. A questo punto sta a te scegliere la formulazione più adatta in italiano... :-)

credo che Gilda abbia ragione


Explanation:
in English you should say "the light shines through the fabric" (the sun, colors etc.), cioe' l'inglese non mi sembra accuratissimo ma il senso e' quello offerto da Gilda.

It is the "through" of the phrasal verb that gives it away

neutral  xxxTanuki: Io avevo detto "che non traspaiono" alle 10:22. Cmq, a parte questo trascurabile dettaglio, NON traspaiono. Altrimenti quel "do not" che ci sta a fare?
