Whereas the lender is prepared to grant such loans, it is now agreed as follows:

Non sono un'esperta, ma ho l'impressione che *take up* significhi "prendere" più che "dare". Pertanto sarebbe "...è disposto a riscuotere le somme dovute dal mutuante medesimo per un importo pari a euro..."

Certo. Hai ragione, mi sono confusa anch'io tra mutuante e mutuatario. Chiedo scusa.
