Explanation:
To me, "peer grade" in American English refers to "being graded by one's peers." That could mean a school student being graded by her/his fellow students in some school activity, someone in a psychological therapy program being evaluated by fellow groupmembers for attaining some special recognition, etc. "Grading" not only in the sense of receiving an award, but also in terms of being, say, admired or respected (as opposed to scorned or rejected, respectively). What comes to mind also is the English-language expression, "judged by a jury made up of his peers." I guess in Italian it could be rendered with the word "pari," such as in "essere giudicato dai propri pari," or something to that effect.

In realtà, linguisticamente, è questo un esempio tipicamente inglese di trasformare un sostantivo in una frase verbale! :-)
