altre possibilità, altri modi di dire "col passare del tempo"

rileggendo meglio vedo che c'è prima 'over a period of time' e credo che non sia il caso di specificare poco o tanto

'after a while' equivale (più o meno) ad 'after a period of time', quindi dovresti usare due traduzioni analoghe da mettere una prima e una dopo :)

per una delle due userei il "col tempo" proposto da Nicola
