non mi crea problemi tanto il termine in sé, bensì il suo inserimento coerente nel contesto.
Infatti il testo dice:
The control activity shall be performed by Contractor at the seat of the Customer. (e quindi presso la sede del cliente....), in the manufactory and laboratories of Contractor. Io conosco il termine manufactory con il significato di stabilimento, fabbrica, anche se è poco usato, per cui trovo sia un controsenso parlare di sede del cliente e di fabbrica dell'Appaltatore. Qualcuno può aiutarmi a chiarirmi le idee?

Explanation:
Questo è un tipico caso in cui bisogna chiedere al cliente. Secondo me, si tratta di un refuso (questo testo mi sembra che ne sia pieno), e invece di
"manufactory and laboratories of Contractor" dovrebbe essere "manufactory and laboratories of Client". Non è il caso di indovinare, meglio chiedere.

Non conoscendo il testo intero si possono solo fare ipotesi:

Una è che il Contractor e il Client coincidano;

L'altra è che il Contractor vada a prelevare il materiale dal Client per poi svolgere i controlli presso di sé.
