Se dal contesto appare che l'autore usi i termini con accuratezza e rigore non vi è alcun dubbio che la traduzione di "variance" sia varianza: è un testo tecnico ed il termine tecnico non può che essere inteso nel suo preciso significato tecnico. Se dal contesto appare che l'autore sia impreciso, poetico e imprevedibile, si può anche tradurre variabilità, interpretando che anziché attenersi alla terminologia tecnica si sia abbandonato ad una licenza poetica |
