Explanation:
la traduzione "letterale" di pariah e' paria, ma potrebbe essere una traduzione che non funziona a seconda del contesto. Se nell'inglese "paria" ha un riferimento chiaro al sistema di caste dell'India (che appartiene al bagaglio storico della lingua) in italiano puo' darsi che non funzioni allo stesso modo.
Sarebbe meglio forse tradurre emarginato, marginale, messa al bando dalla societa'...
