agree  Zea_Mays: "pulled out of the gutter" ha doppio significato - si usa spesso per "salvare,redimere". "to take sb. out of the gutter" in tedesco "jnd aus der Gosse auflesen"."pull"=trarre, quindi "trarre qlc dalla fogna".
