Prendere (prendi/prendete) una tavoletta e fare (fai/fate) delle vasche... Explanation: battendo i piedi normalmente o a farfalla. "Flutter board" è la normale tavoletta quadrata o rettangolare, galleggiante, sulla quale molti di noi (me compresa) hanno imparato a nuotare. Si tiene la tavoletta davanti a sé, con le braccia tese, e si battono più o meno fuoriosamente i piedi. Queste "back-to-back lengths" in piscina ovviamente si può interpretare come "vasche" ma in altri ambienti lo tradurrei magari con "tratti" oppuro lo ometterei (sostituendo "...nuotare battendo i piedi...). Sta a te dal contesto stabilire se c'è bisogno di più enfasi ("fare molte vasche" o "fare vasca dopo vasca"). Il secondo "flutter" si riferisce al battere le gambe una dopo l'altra come si fa per tutti gli stili di nuoto tranne farfalla e rana. Il mio allenatore di pallanuoto si limitava a dire "Batti i piedi @+%$#!!!" senza specificare altro, a meno che non volesse sforbiciate o colpi di rana. Buon lavoro (io vado a farmi una nuotatina). |
