English term or phrase: futebol de botão
passatempo muito popular entre crianças, desde o século XX, no Brasil
Jos Correa
Italian translation:calcio da tavolo
Explanation:
Wheter you are here by mistake or not, I have found that the Italian translation for 'futebol de botão' is 'calcio da tavolo'.
It is also called 'Subbuteo' from the producer of a famous commercial version.

It is a game (the fans say it is a 'sport') played with the fingers and plastic figurines of soccer players over a fabric football pitch about 1 meter long.

It used to be quite popular, with tournaments, federations and world championships.

Do not confuse it with the game called 'bigliardino', wich is played on a table standing on legs and the players are attached to metal bars.
