English to Italian translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering
English term or phrase: URL
I know this means universal resource locator (though my client thinks it is uniform resources location!), but how (if at all) is it translated into Italian?
Gillian
Italian translation:URL
Explanation:
The literal translation of URL (Uniform Resource Locator) should be Localizzatore uniforme di risorse, but nobody would understand its meaning. We use URL also in Italian, especially in the technical language. As an alternative, one could also say: "Indirizzo Internet"
