Nel caso in cui si tratti di un "riding mower" (trattorino), le mie ricerche come puoi vedere dai due link sotto, mi darebbero "piatto di taglio", che poi è un po' più specifico della scocca o telaio, visto che si deve anche "accedere alla zona" dove si trova questo particolare.

Soprattutto l'articolo di "Vita in Campagna" (secondo link) è molto "didattico".

il carter è la parte che è alla base del motore e copre la lama (sia per sicurezza sia per non sparpagliare l'erba.
La blades area è il vano dove c'è la lama (è una sola con due taglienti), che chiamerei "vano lama"
