English term or phrase: down-fill horn
The text explains the way the sound system of St. Peter's Square works. It should be something to direct the sound in a certain way. I'm sorry I can't provide a more precise context, but it's a list of words with model numbers etc., no complete sentences.

Thank you very much!

altoparlante "down-fill"
Explanation:
I haven't come across an Italian translation of "down fill" yet, but I was able to find the patent for "down-fill loudspeaker technolgy" found in concert loudspeaker systems. At http://www.eaw.com/pages/AboutEAW/News/Stories/2000/01Janua.... you can read about the technology and its inventor: "...one of the word's foremost loudspeaker horn designers...specifically, the down-fill technology invented by Gunness is included in EAW model KF911, KF913 and KF755 loudspeakers. It allows these loudspeakers to be integrated within standard array structures while providing seamless, dedicated and highly controlled down-fill coverage to near-field regions...." Since this is very new technology, there may not be a name in Italian yet. (The site announcing the parent is dated Jan., 2000). I'll try to find more information. Best regards,
Andréa
