Split take: secondo me significa \"effettua suddivisione\"; sempre nell\'ipotesi che sia riferito all\'HD, probabilmente permette di suddividere una registrazione video (salvata come file sull\'HD) in due parti (spezzando quindi il file in due file distinti).

Explanation:
split take. Se si tratta di un decoder usato come navigatore sulle automobili, split può essere "biforcazione" e "take" fare riferimento alla strada da scegliere.
Riguardo a "HD record" userei "record (su) disco rigido". Record di solito resta record (v. dizionari Microsoft ad es.) e con ciò s'intende una registrazione, un documento su disco rigido.
