Lo Zanichelli riporta invece due voci, in questo ordine:

1) Escavatore a cucchiaio rovescio
2) Retroescavatore

Non credo che l\'ordine in cui vengono presentate le voci sia molto importante, nel nostro caso. Anzi, credo che nel tipo di testo che stai traducendo non sia importante dare una traduzione \"tecnica\" del termine. Sia \"escavatore a cucchiaia rovescia\" (Marolli) sia \"escavatore a cucchiaio rovescio\" (Zanichelli) sia \"retroescavatore\" (Zanichelli e Garzanti) sono secondo me traduzioni validissime se si ricerca la definizione esatta del termine in ambito tecnico-specialistico ma appesantiscono enormemente il testo a scapito della leggibilità.

Bisogna sempre tenere presente quello che in critica letteraria viene definito: \"intended reader\".

Diceva un tizio: \"Translators must strike a balance between fidelity to the source text and readability in the target language\".
