Tech/Engineering
English term or phrase: roving fire patrol
In a fire fighting system manual:"place a roving fire patrol in the area covered by the system until the system is back in service". The manual has obviously been translated into english, and sometimes very badly. I am not entirely sure that the expression actually exists. Would it be "pattuglia ambulante antincendio"?....Thanks for all your suggestions!

pattuglia antincendio/pattugliamento antincendio
Explanation:

ronda antincendio

Explanation:
"ambulante" is what we call street traders and stuff like that.
When a security service (police, vigilantes ect) walks around it's "fare la ronda" - to go on patrol.
The kind of service I gather you refer to would be a "ronda".
