In the implementation of this methodology on MyoSPECT, the Polar Plot is first calculated from 3D ray sampling of max pixels in the short axis images. Therefore it is crucial that the images are properly masked of extra-cardiac activity using the post-reconstruction volume masking. Activity hotter than the myocardium will affect both the Polar Plot, and the calculation of LVGTF. The LVGTF is then computed from the maximum and minimum counts in the gated Polar Plots on a pixel by pixel basis (refer to the referenced article for exact formula).

Non so quanto ti possa essere utile..ma in musica il sampling è appunto la conversione del segnale analogico in digitale. Maggiore è la frequenza di campionamento ed inumeri di bits convertiti al secondo, maggiore la fedeltà. Da quel (poco) che ho capito, mi pare che il Polar plot venga definito in base al campionamento in tre dimensioni della maggior parte dei pixels presenti sull'asse più breve dell'immagine...BOH?
