per questo termine ho trovato la corrispondenza di "asciugabicchieri", sarebbe in pratica lo strofinaccio da cucina, solo versione più nobile.

Explanation:
se non sbaglio, la caratteristica di questi panni per asciugare vetri e cristalli è che non lasciano pelucchi; per questo forse è consigliabile usare appunto "asciugabicchieri" (vs. "asciugapiatti"). Mi pare che la distinzione sia conservata anche in altre lingue.

non so se sia nobile o meno, ma io ho sempre detto asciughino. E' uno straccetto si, ma si usa esclusivamente per asciugare pentole e bicchieri e non spela, e' 100% cotone.
Le mamme in toscana non fanno altro che comprare corredi di lenzuola, asciughini e asciugamani...Ne ho un visibilio!!!
