そういうことではないかと思いますが...

つまりEHSの信条を取り入れ（モットーとしては「取り組み」のほうが向いていると思いますが）、その信条に生き、そして、生きる以上は他にぬきんでる優れた働きをすることだ、といいたいのだと考えます。

ご自分で他に考える方向を見つけるヒントにしてください。

Live it には「自分をその立場に置く」という意味があります。必ずしも競争相手を念頭におかなくてもよいと思います。
むしろ「身を入れる」「一生懸命になる」というほうが近いと思いますが...
この部分は頭を絞りますね。
「献身する」も良いかなと Fool's hind sight is 20-20 で考えています。
