無断複製及び転載を禁ず Explanation: 'Copying without permission is prohibited' is about as close as they get in any of my books. Where texts are printed is always written in English. When the text is printed in Japan, the name of the company is given as 印刷所 followed by the name of the company, but the [Printed in Japan] is always written in English. Hope this helps. personal library |

本書の全部または一部を無断で複写複製(コピー)することは、著作権法上での例外を除き、禁じられています Explanation: Just to make sure that what is written above is readable to you,”ほんしょのぜんぶまたはいちぶをむだんでふくしゃふくせい(こぴー)することは、ちょさくけんほうじょうのれいがいをのぞき、きんじられています。ほんしょからのふくしゃをきぼうされるばあいは、_ にごれんらくください。”"honnsho no zenbu matawa ichibu wo mudande fukusha fukusei (copy) surukotowa chosakukenhoujyou no reigai wo nozoki kinnjirarete imasu. Honsho karano fukusha wo kibou sareru baai wa _ ni gorennraku kudasai." This literally means, Coppying the entire or some parts of this book is prohibited except where exceptions of coppy rights laws apply. If you wish to make a copy of some pages of this book or the entire book, please notify us at ___. Publishing companies in Japan give the name and the contact number of the place where to get permission to make coppies from the book to fill the ___. If business entities wish to sell their books to customers, this is the politest way to tell those who purchase books from them that all rights reserved in a way that an ordinary person can understand what all rights reserved means. This will be the politest way to tell someone that all rights are reserved even if you are not a business entity if you would like to show respect towards others. Actually I got the Japanese sentences from a book published by Yuhikaku, a prominant legal books publishing company in Japan. There were also other major publisheing companies that wrote the same thing in Japanese. As to "Printed in ... " it this part need not be translated in Japanese if you want to put this part on a Japanese book. Even in Japanese books, "Printed in Japan" stays on the book as it is, without being translated. What publishing companies often do to indicate that books are published in certains countries would be, they put the name and the address of their branch offices on the book. |
