English term or phrase:matchmaker
My aunt and uncle were introduced by a Japanese matchmaker after my uncle was released from a relocation camp in Utah during WWII. My aunt said the matchmaker was a "bychakunien" -- but I am unsure that her SPELLING is correct. Can anyone help me with this?
