English to Japanese translations [Non-PRO]
English term or phrase:tradepeople.com
"Tradepeople.com" is a global trading community (emarketplace) for small to medium size companies. We are building a business to business online marketplace where businesses, trading partners, buyers and sellers may buy, sell, and trade their products and services.
Explanation: 1. Shobainin. This literally means merchants, (with the implication being a "good" ones). In terms of hitting the right marketing concept, this is a fairly old fashioned word but it has recently become attractive(trendy) especially with the younger generation. It is going to seem a cool word choice to the 20/30's while make perfect sense for 40's and 50's.
Alternatively "Shonin.com" (a shortened form) has a good rhythm to it.
For reference my 16 years working for a Japanese Trading company (shosha) mean I am extremely familiar with all trading terms.
