English to Japanese translations [Non-PRO]
English term or phrase: I love you
Saying I love you to someone
Matoya
Japanese translation:愛しています Ai Shi-Te Ima Su
Explanation:
Hello. I'm not sure if your PC supports Japanese font but I included it on top. It would be pronounced like this:
Eye She Tay Ee Ma Su.
This is the formal way of saying it. The more informal way would be
"Ai Shi-Te Ru". Many young people often opt for "Dai Suki!" which actually means "I like you alot" but has the connotation of 'I love you' when your girlfriend or boyfriend is saying it to you. Hope that helped

Thank you very much. I am somewhat familiar with the Japanese language. I just needed more than one way of saying it and you gave that to me. Thank you so much!!

ai shiteru

Explanation:
this is the most common conversational form of saying "I love you".

You can also say "anata ga suki desu",
which literally means "I like you",but
takes on the meaning of "I love you".
