Papan tanda Explanation: Badriya, I think flagsigns are used to send a message or signal of somesort. There are actually two forms of this word: flagsigns and flag signs. Flagsigns are actual flags with symbols or letters on them, to convey a sort of code to others. Eg: used in by the shipping or naval community. See: http://www.crwflags.com/fotw/flags/flagsign.html Flag signs, on the other hand, are really signboards, usually posted above head level so that people can see them easily. The type you can find in the airport, or in this case, in malls. See: http://www.stancosignage.com/newsite/pages/adaprogram04.htm Basically both do the same thing: they give signals and direction to people. Therefore, I think "papan tanda" ("papan-papan tanda") would be a more suitable translation for you to use. kamus dewan, times, urls stated above |
