English term or phrase: kangaroo
A national animal of Australia with pouch carrying baby.
Liyana
kanggaru
Explanation:
This Australian marsupial is totally foreign in the Malay lands. As such there is no equivalent word - the name was retained but the spelling has been adapted to follow the Malay pronunciation of the word. This "spelling" rule adaptation is generally applied in many examples like peach = pic, apple = epal etc.

Explanation:
Well, the Bulgarian word for this animal sounds and means the same in English as it was phonetically taken from it's deriving country. The only difference is in writing as in Cyrrilic letters.
