English term or phrase: Good afternoon ladybird
A friend of mine said "good evening tiger" to me in Malay so I would like to be able to say "Good afternoo ladybird" to her. Can you help?
Edward
Malay translation:Selamat petang kumbang kura-kura
Explanation:
If you don't have any specific reason for choosing a ladybird, I suggest you choose another insect ... ladybird in Malay is rather long and doesn't have a nice ring to it.

Maybe butterfly = rama-rama ...

agree  xxxA-MMI: Yes, rama-rama would sound better.Taken apart neither kumbang nor kura-kura have particularly aesthetic qualities :)
