English to Malay translations [Non-PRO]
English term or phrase:crm (Customer Relationship Management)
how to apply it to crm projects.
A central theme of the technology for marketing conference, being held alongside the exhibition at London's Olympia 2, will be how to reach customers through technology. This will be illustrated by a number of case study-led presentations given by firm that have experience of such techniques. Brookers explains: Once we have the profiles about caller types, we come up with creative service to support customer retention and link to their brand and identity
understanding your customer
targeting your customer
reaching your customer
Interacting with your customer
Explanation: CRM is a term used in ERP.
I've worked translating ERP material for several years, and this is my suggestion:
At present, there are no "formal" Malay equivalents for ERP terms. For cases like this, it's usually wise to leave the short form as it is while translating the long form in the brackets. In this instance, it would be:
"CRM (Pengurusan Perhubungan Pelanggan atau Customer Relationship Management)"
If your audience/readers are already CRM/ERP savvy or CRM/ERP experts, then it might be OK to just say:
"CRM (Pengurusan Perhubungan Pelanggan)" because they would already know what CRM stands for.
Perhaps other ProZ with specific CRM/ERP experience can confirm this.
Anyway, Miss Niey, if you're looking for help in translating the whole paragraph, perhaps you could contact one of us translators. KudoZ is usually used to translate only individual terms or phrases at the most.
All the best.
