English term or phrase: the default password is left blank (NULL)
Please help us to change the translation of the phrase "the default password is 4455." into "the default password is left blank (NULL)".

Merk: Standard brukernavn er admin og standard passord er 4455.

Lock the operator panel with a password so that other users don't inadvertently change the printer settings you have selected.
NOTE: You must be a network administrator to use this feature.
NOTE: The default user name is admin and the default password is left blank (NULL).

Explanation:
Null is a special database term, used to describe a situation where a field have no content. A field with a space or where an empty string '' (to single hypens, with nothing between) also appear to be blank, but are not so - technically.
(null) should not be included in the Norwegian translation, as Null in Norwegian means Zero.
Unless the target audience is higly technical personel with database knowledge.

Alternativ: "standard passord er tomt."

The argument for the latter is that many Norwegians may use "blanktegn" instead of "mellomrom" (Space), and therefore confuse this with "blankt". But I think that the audience for this text would easily understand "blankt".
