Idioms / Maxims / Sayings / tattoo
English term or phrase: Know
I would like to get a tattoo of the word "know" in the Norwegian language.
Zach
Norwegian translation:vite
Explanation:
This is the infinitive of the verb know, as in to have knowledge of something. The imperative (Know this!) would be 'vit'. Another meaning (to know John is to love him) is kjenne. None of these words make a good tattoo, which may also be said about 'know' in the first place. Knowledge would be better (viten or kunnskap), such as knowing why you felt inclined to check the no points option. These points are all anyone ever gets for answering queries like this, so why deny people this reward that costs you nothing at all?
