Unable to figure the dash, though - surely 'molded-strain' makes no sense? Without the dash, teh above translation should be fine, if fairly generic due shortage of context detail. Also, unless molded (moulded) is really important, strekkavlaster alone is better - as in "strekkavlaster gir ekstra holdbarhet"
