Explanation:
Dosłowne tłumaczenie to faktycznie olej ciężki. Z tym, że w nomenklaturze polskiej, w tym między innymi w taryfie celnej (również Wspólnoty Europejskiej) oleje dzielimy na:
a) oleje lekkie (tu kwalifikujemy między innymi benzynę silnikową),
b) oleje średnie,
c) oleje ciężkie ( tu kwalifikujemy między innymi oleje napędowe/diesel, oleje opałowe ( przeznaczone do ogrzewania budynków, między innymi mazut).
Tak więc olej ciężkie obejmują szeroką gamę produktów w tym produkty na których nie da się jeździć, lub da się jeździć ale ze szkodą dla silnika.
W każdym bądź razie w polskim dowodzie rejestracyjnym znalazłby się w powyższym przypadku zapis, że pojazd może poruszać się na oleju napędowym potocznie nazywanym diesel.
