In the event that short supply of the supplier's material(s) creates a need for allocation of material(s) across more than one ABC site, the allocation process will be managed at the ABC business category level to ensure a total-system approach to meeting the needs of ABC's customers. In such a situation, the supplier should not allocate product to any ABC site if that allocation creates a shortage at another ABC site, without approval by the affected categories' business planning offices. It is the responsibility of the ABC site to ensure that multi-site allocation issues are raised to the category level for resolution.
