Bus/Financial - Government / Politics
English term or phrase: "gold" zloty
taken from a 1965 US Foreign Claims Settlement Commission document awarding compensation to a US citizen of Polish descent; its value was given based on value of property nationalized in 1946, stated precisely in "gold" zloty; the award was made under "Agreement Between the Government of the United States of America and the Government of the Polish People's Republic Regarding Claims of Nationals of the United States and exchange of notes, signed in Washington July 16, 1960, entered into force July 16, 1960 (11 UST 1953; TIAS 4545; 384 UNTS 169) and Protocol relating to article 5 of the agreement of July 16, 1960, signed at Warsaw November 29, 1960, entered into force November 29, 1960 (11 UST 2450; TIAS 4629; 401 UNTS 338.)" A link to a site where I could find the Polish version on line (Monitor? Dziennik Ustaw? would also be a boon. P.J.

Polish translation:złoty w złocie
Explanation:
to termin stosowany w czasach, kiedy złotówka zabezpieczona była rezerwami w złocie i prawdopodobnie o to chodzi w Twoim tekście. Podaję Ci adres do polskich archiwów prawnych: http://orka.sejm.gov.pl/PRAWO.nsf?
Good luck,
Magda
