  -> Są rozbieżności terminologiczne pol-ang. Plamica (objaw) to petechiae (p. podręcznik Szczeklika, t. II, s. 1403 - obrazek nie pozostawia wątpliwości), natomiast jako nazwa choroby to purpura. Z kolei ang. purpura (sign) to raczej podbiegnięcie krwawe
