English to Polish translations [PRO]
English term or phrase: Tagalog
I speak Tagalog
Eva
tagalog OR: tagalski
Explanation:
These 2 forms can be found in the Polish translation of the international standard ISO 639-2:1998 (Polski Komitet Normalizacyjny nr ref. APrPN-ISO 639-2). The document I have was distributed in Poland for approval 2 years ago and I do not know how the story ended.
In a scholarly context, I would not go as far as to say that "filipinski" = "tagalski" as they also speak other languages in the Philippines. In fact, ISO has a separate code for "Philippine (Other)" = "filipinskie (inne)"

Hope that helps,

Jacek Krankowski
