Explanation:
these two words are very close in meaning although relationship is fairly abstract, it has an emotional load.
A relation, on the other hand, can equate a relative (as in "all my relations" meaning all my relatives, these flesh and bone entities). This is how I see powiazania and zwiazki: fairly close but worth distinguishing.
