W Słowniku WNT znajduje sie bardzo dluga definicja gwintu acme:
acme (Screw) thread - znormalizowany amerykański gwint napędowy trapezowy symetryczny o kacie 29 st.

Nie ma jakiegos polskiego krotszego odpowiednika?

tu chyba nie ma się co bawić w rodzaj gwintu tego ślimaka, bo nie on tu jest istotny. Zresztą gwinty Acme są produkowane w czterech typach, więc i defincja ze słownika NT nie jest ścisła ;)
