English to Portuguese translations [PRO]
Art/Literary
English term or phrase: please see "context" box
This phrase comes from "The Handsomest Drowned Man In The World" by Gabriel
Garcia Marquez. It is difficult to find the story in languages other than English and
Spanish where I live, which is why I am trying my luck with this! As there is not enough
room for the complete translation in the “answer” space, please put it under
“explanation.”

LOOK THERE, WHERE THE WIND IS SO PEACEFUL NOW THAT IT'S GONE TO SLEEP BENEATH THE BEDS,
OVER THERE, WHERE THE SUN'S SO BRIGHT
THAT THE SUNFLOWERS DON'T KNOW WHICH WAY TO TURN, YES, OVER THERE, THAT'S ESTEBAN'S VILLAGE.

Thanks a million for your response!

Ólhe além, onde o vento está tão calmo agora que dorme sob as camas,
acolá onde o sol é tão brilhante
que os girassóis nem sabem para onde se virar, sim
acolá, aquela é a aldeia do Esteban.

Hoping to help. Good luck.

Olhe lá, onde o vento agora está tão calmo que se recolheu sob as camas
Bem lá em cima, onde o sol é tão brilhante que os girassóis não sabem para que lado virar,
Sim, lá em cima, lá está o vilarejo de Esteban.
