"... I recognized the smell wafting towards me. Monksbane. One of the metals my master used to create his typeface, an element so powerful monks were believed to drink whole quantities of it to purify their souls. Yet, in even minimal doses it could be lethal."

esta substância não aparece em nenhum dos dicionários comuns onde procurei, nem na Wikipedia e tem poucos hits no Google.

Alguns (poucos) sites dão 'monksbane' como sinônimo de 'monks' hood', que é o mesmo que 'acônito' (aconitum napellus), uma planta (ou substância dela extraída), porém no meu texto é dito que é um metal

alguém pode me ajudar?
