English to Portuguese translations [PRO] Marketing
English term or phrase:to my mother, for her eighty-eighth birthday
Para a minha mãe, em seu aniversário de 88 anos...
Explanation: I think it is hard that someone would write "octogésimo oitavo" in a publicity text... It is too long and formal. In Brazil, people generally say "seu aniversário de 15 anos, seu aniversário de 20 anos, etc." People don't normally say "seu décimo quinto aniversário"... This does not sound colloquial. It all depends on the style of your text and the public.
Also, there is no hyphen between octogésimo and oitavo.
