| indemnitees indemnizados Explanation: indemnitee: one who receives indemnity from another (Black's law dictionary). Existe alguma dificuldade em traduzir para português a expressão indemnity e seus derivados. Isto porque "to indemnify" significa proteger uma pessoa contra tudo o que a possa lesar, mesmo antes de ocorrer qualquer dano (daí o "doublet" "indemnify and hold harmless"). Em Portugal, o verbo "indemnizar" está mais ligado à reparação de um dano após o mesmo ter ocorrido . Todavia, na prática os efeitos entre "indemnify" e "comprometer-se a indemnizar" são os mesmos. Existe quem entenda que esta "indemnity" é, no fundo, uma garantia (v. Dic. Jurídico de Maria Paula Gouveia Andrade) e que "indemnitee" deve ser traduzido como "garantido" ou "beneficiário da garantia" (o trabalho desta autora é excelente, pelo que pode utilizar o termo "garantido" se quiser). Todavia, nos documentos que tenho encontrado tem sido dada preferência ao termo "indemnizado" (talvez por ser mais literal). Espero ter ajudado.
