Explanation:
Um ancestral e contamprâneo do cravo, surge no século XIV. Tal como no cravo (harpsichord) aAs cordas são tocadas por pena de pato, mas no calvicórdio havia a perculiaridade de pontes (bridges) que pressionavam as cordas contra um espelho, como a mão essquerda de um violonista, permitindo que uma mesma corda produzisse dois ou até tres notas. Instrumento usado basicamente para estudo, por seu som ser demasiado fraco para uso em concerto.
