English to Portuguese translations [PRO]
English term or phrase: I think I am a whale
Self criticism
monica vermes
Portuguese translation:Estou uma baleia
Explanation:
"Eu me acho uma baleia" is the literal translation and it is correct. The person is expressing what he/she thinks, rationally. But since I have no idea of the context of your translation, you might as well consider this other suggestion, which is stronger and more "emotional" than the literal translation. The person affirms that he/she really feels or sees him/herself as a whale, not merely expressing her thoughts about it (which could be easily balanced by someone else claiming "well, I think you're not").

eu me acho uma baleia

Explanation:
In Brazilian Portuguese, "I think I am" can be "eu me acho" [I think of me as...] when one is reflecting over oneself. But you could say "Eu me imagino uma baleia" if your mind is wandering loose.

Gorda(o)

Explanation:
em português de Portugal isso ficaria "acho que sou um monte de banha" ou "acho que sou uma banheira". O significado é óbvio... é gorda como um pote!!!! Se vc está traduzindo no Brasil, basta pegar numa das frases que vcs aí usam, né?
