conta/pérola/bolha gasosa no/dentro do jarro/frasco Explanation: dont know of any specific translation for the above expression. All I can suggest is: bead= conta/pérola or it can also mean bolha gasosa (i.e.in the wine) jar=frasco/jarro/boião/pote/vaso etc it depends now on your context really... Good luck! Dic. Como eu disse, eu posso estar completamente off the mark, mas ..... |

Explanation: There are school games in which the pupils put a bead in a jar every time a task is completed or something good is done. When the jar is full, the pupils get a reward. So "Bead in the Jar" might mean "goals have been met", since it has to do with getting a reward for a well done job or for good behavior. But it means also the team effort of everybody and then "to put a bead in the jar" could mean "to be part of the team", "to act as a team player". Of course the final decision always will depend on context. Reference: http://www.rahul.net/mcgrew/carrots.html |
