Explanation:
In Brazil you can use either "assinante" (subscriber) or "usuário" (user). "Assinante" is used in a more broad sense (UOL has 500 th users = A UOL tem 500 mil assinantes) while "usuário" is used in the context of the conection itself (enter your ID number = digite seu número de usuário). "Subscrição" is not used in Brazil, but would be perfectly understandable and "Adesão" would be used only in the meaning of becoming a new subscriber.
