English to Portuguese translations [Non-PRO] Art/Literary - Poetry & Literature / adult romance novel
English term or phrase:Fuck me!
A fala é de um papagaio (chamado Pepper) que tem o hábito de repetir palavras que ele ouviu nos filmes favoritos da sua dona (Otávia).
“Fuck me,” the bird squawked. “Don’t you dare judge me.”
“That’s right, Pepper,” Octavia said, stroking the parrot’s back. “You truly are a mama’s boy. Owning your sexuality.”
She turned back to us. “Like many of my friends, Pepper prefers to take it up the ass. His greatest dream is to fly in the Pride parade..."
Minha dúvida é se devo traduzir como "comer" ou "foder".
The parrot mimics lines that the owner taught him from her favorite movies. Most likely, this one was from a porno movie. Here's another excerpt:
Pepper’s an African Gray, and he’s highly intelligent,” Octavia said.
“I’ve taught him all the best lines from my favorite movies.”
She continued to stroke the parrot.
“You’re my little man—aren’t you, Pepper?”
“Anna Wintour is a beee-otch,” the bird said loudly. (beee-otch: a corruption of "bitch", according to the Urban Dictionary)
This parrot made me laugh as I was translating. :-)
