Penso que possa ter esse sentido (to pursuit) seguir, prosseguir os estudos desse curso, partir em busca de, procurar.
Por outro lado, "ingressar" indica movimento, entrar para ou passar a fazer parte de... pode ser que se adapte no contexto.
Entrar para um curso, frequentar um curso, ingressar num curso são possíveis traduções, mas como não conheço o texto, daí o nível 2.
