Portuguese translation: Acabamento (trimming)

English term or phrase: trimming - front end carrier

In the automotive seating sector, XXXXXXXXX´s strong positions in components production (including seating for wich it does not provide TRIMMING) makes it the leading manufacturer .............

Competition in the front-end sector varies according to the products and services provided - cooling fan system, bumper, FRONT END CARRIER ou complete structural module.

Agradeço desde já,

Explanation:

Obrigado,

Márcio

some research results, but nothing very revealing!

Explanation:
I strongly suspect that 'trimmings' is the finish with cloth that matches the seats (or the same cloth) on parts of the car inside, such as under the back window, in door panels, etc. See this extract:
"Local producers are capable of producing quality complex components competitively. Examples include: tires, castings, forgings, power-train parts, electrical parts, batteries, pistons, engine parts, body panels, brake and clutch parts, hydraulic and pneumatic parts, chassis frame and parts, seating and interior trimming, safety components, suspension systems, transmission mechanisms, rims and various plastics and aluminum parts."

I was unable to find any info that was more concrete.

I can't offer a translation, but suggest you refer to client to find out exactly what is referred to, or contact a Portuguese (speaking) car components manufacturer; the word is probably very specific.

Again, not much success either for front-end carrier, but from what I saw it seems to refer to the 'carrier' for holding parts at the front, holding the structure together at the front. Engines are usually open to the ground, but something must be holding the bits in place!

Sorry I can't be of more help.

Explanation:
