English term or phrase: Boom light cycle
JCB Heavy Products Ltd. have introduced an advanced excavator to their 'XO' series offering higher productivity, lower running costs and environmental benefits. The 45 tonne JS450 HD offers improved capability in difficult ground conditions, such as quarries, and higher output for those involved in major earthmoving operations. Massive break-out force and lift capacity allow for easy handling of large capacity buckets (up to 2.5 cubic metres). The option of a faster boom light cycle further boosts productivity.

Portuguese translation:trabalhos leves com lança
Explanation:
Boom é a lança do guindaste. A escavadeira pode ter aquela pá maior na frente para trabalhos pesados, ou pode ter um braço (uma lança) com uma pá menor para "light cycles", trabalhos mais leves, escavando um volume menor de terra de cada vez.

English Term boom [1]
Definition of a crane,the arm,fixed or moveable,that handles the load
Note {NTE} the up-and-down motion is termed luffing(derricking),the sideways motion swinging slewing [1];
part of a crane [2]
Portuguese Term lança de guindaste [1];
braço de grua [2];
lança [3]
I was not able to find a definition of "light cycle" within the machinery context, but it seems logical to me that the cycle of a boom is its complete movement of loading and depositing materials, and obviously "a faster boom cycle further boosts productivity".
